Tobby Smith
Pastor / Elder

Tobby Smith has been the Pastor of Memorial Baptist Church since 2009. Tobby has a B.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies (Boyce College of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), an M.A. in Theology and a Masters of Divinity (Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary). Additonally, Tobby is pursuing a Ph.D. through Midwestern Baptist Theological Studies in the field of Historical Theology. Tobby's aim is to serve MBC through: expository preaching, servant leadership, and by cultivating real Christian discipleship.

Tobby's theological influences stem from a variety of historical as well as contemporary Bible teachers & theologians. Some of those strong influences are: J.C. Ryle, Charles Spurgeon, and Dale Ralph Davis. Outside of the Bible, John Piper's "Desiring God" was one of the strongest influences on Tobby's theology and ministry.

Tobby is the author of Wolfology: A Look at Heresies, Old and New (Kress, 2021) and The Rise of Woke Christianity: A Brief Introduction (Kress, 2021). Tobby and his wife, Rachel, are natives of New Castle. The couple has one son, Piper.

Dusty Neal
Youth Director

Dusty Neal is our Youth Director. Dusty grew up in South Henry county and graduated from Tri High School in 2002. After High School, Dusty attended and graduated from Anderson University in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. 

Since graduation, Dusty has received a Special Education Licensure and has also spent time as a Social Worker. Prior to coming to MBC, Dusty was the Area Director of Young Life; a Christian organization focused on building relationships with young people to see them come into relationship with Christ. Dusty is working on his Master's degree in Education Administration. 

Dusty is married to his wife. They have three children: Ally, Emma, and Titus.
